Albuquerque, NM - Pedestrian Dies in Collision at Central Ave & Garcia St

Albuquerque, NM (February 5, 2024) - On Tuesday, January 30, a deadly pedestrian crash was reported in the Albuquerque area. The fatal accident took place at the corner of Garcia Street and Central Avenue. The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

An eastbound driver hit the pedestrian as they were crossing at the intersection. Emergency responders were present to provide life-saving aid to the crash victim. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. 

The area was temporarily closed off while emergency crews worked to clear the site. Local reports revealed that impairment was not a factor in the accident.
