Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Loses Life in Crash near Indian School Rd NE & Louisiana Blvd NE

Albuquerque, NM (October 8, 2023) – A fatal pedestrian accident reported in the Albuquerque area claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 11:15 p.m. on October 6.

According to reports, a pedestrian was traveling in the area of Louisiana Boulevard Northeast and Indian School Road Northeast during the evening hours. As they attempted to cross the roadway, they were struck by a black Isuzu SUV. The driver of the SUV reportedly ran a red light at the intersection before striking the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was lifted onto the vehicle and struck the front windshield. The vehicle continued forward, carrying the pedestrian until they eventually fell off. The pedestrian was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on site.

The SUV fled the scene of the accident without stopping.

The investigation surrounding the accident is currently underway.
