New Mexico Car Accidents
Some of the worst drivers in the nation are from New Mexico. Unfortunately, Albuquerque is home to some of the worst drivers in the state. The city recorded the most traffic collisions in the Land of Enchantment in 2019. In Bernalillo County, there were 19,034 reported collisions that year, with one reported every 27 minutes on average. There were 675 alcohol-related crashes documented in Albuquerque that year, which is more than any other city in the state. Injured parties and their families need to be ready to pursue full and fair compensation for their injuries after a serious crash.
A serious car accident can happen at any time, and these crashes have the ability to change your life for the worse. Many New Mexico residents find themselves the victims of serious collisions, and it is important that you are able to take immediate action in order to protect your legal rights. Most people are unfamiliar with the legal system, and many more are unsure of what to do next if they are injured in a serious car accident. There are certain steps that need to be taken in order to protect your rights, and one of the most critical is likely consulting with a trained personal injury lawyer.
After your accident, the insurance provider of the at-fault party will likely reach out to you. They will try to get as much information on the incident as possible, and they often will ask you to provide a recorded statement. You need to know that you are not required to provide a recorded statement, and you should politely decline the offer. You need to make sure you have a trained car crash attorney working on your case if you want to ensure your compensation is protected and that you do not unwittingly fall victim to a deceptive insurance provider.
