Albuquerque, NM – Two Dead in Motorcycle Crash at 98th St & Rio Claro Dr

Albuquerque, NM (May 14, 2025) – Two people were killed following a motorcycle accident in southwest Albuquerque on Monday night, May 12. The deadly crash took place at the corner of 98th Street and Rio Claro Drive late that night at around 8:40 p.m. It was revealed that a motorcycle was headed southbound on 98th Street when it crashed into the driver’s side door of a Honda Odyssey minivan as it entered the intersection.

Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The motorcyclist and the other driver both suffered fatal injuries and were later pronounced dead by attending medical personnel. No additional injuries have been reported at this time. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked the scene. No further information on the crash is currently available.
