High-Speed Collisions in New Mexico
Some driving habits could dramatically increase the risk of a car accident. Every year, thousands of people lose their lives in collisions involving speeding drivers around the country. High-speed collisions were involved in 11,258 of the 38,824 fatal car crashes reported in the United States in a recent calendar year. Driving at high speeds makes it harder to stop and worsens crash injuries. It should come as no surprise that speeding drivers account for about 29 percent of all fatalities on American highways. In 2021, there were an estimated 33 fatalities per day from high-speed collisions on American roads.
