Albuquerque, NM – Victims Injured in Crash at I-40 & University Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (February 19, 2025) – At least one person sustained injuries following a car accident in Albuquerque on Tuesday, February 18. That afternoon at around 12:11 p.m., the crash was initially reported on Interstate 40 WB near University Boulevard NE. Paramedics and other emergency units were dispatched as there were reports of injuries. 

The area was temporarily closed while authorities were present. The crash victims were treated at the scene before being transferred to a nearby hospital for further aid. The roadway was later reopened to outside traffic after tow trucks were able to clear the resulting debris. No other information has been provided at this time. Authorities advised nearby drivers to avoid the scene. Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident investigation. More information will be supplied as the investigation continues.
