Cedar Crest, NM - Update: Brad, Chad Gunter Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on I-40

Cedar Crest, NM (November 14, 2023) - The two men who were killed in a semi-truck crash outside of Cedar Crest on Thursday, November 9. 

The deadly accident took place on Interstate 40 as a semi-truck was headed eastbound. The two victims, identified as Brad Gunter and Chad Gunter, were working as welders inside a warehouse off the highway. The semi-truck crashed into the warehouse, killing both brothers. 

The victims were the owners of a local barbeque joint, Ribs BBQ. At this time, no additional information regarding the crash has been made public. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and more information will be made public as it continues.
