Deming, NM - Driver Killed in Two-Car Collision on I-10

Deming, NM (May 27, 2025) - On Sunday, May 25, a driver was killed and another person was hurt after a car accident outside of Deming. The deadly accident took place on Interstate 10 near mile marker 68 in Luna County late that evening at around 6 p.m. Local reports revealed that two vehicles collided at the scene. 

It was later revealed that 31-year-old Mark Dunn was headed west on Interstate 10 in a Ford passenger vehicle when he attempted a U-turn to enter eastbound traffic. Dunn collided with a westbound Dodge before coming to a stop on the right shoulder of the interstate. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver was rushed to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the fatal accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
