Medanales, NM –  Four Killed in Motor Vehicle Accident on US-84

Medanales, NM (December 9, 2023) – One person lost their life as a result of a head-on collision that was reported in the Medanales area on Saturday morning, December 9. At around 3:30 a.m., the New Mexico State Police responded to the scene of a crash on US Highway 84.

According to crash reports two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision during the early morning hours. The incident involved a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and a 2019 GMC truck. Both vehicles caught on fire as a result of the accident. Four people involved in the crash were fatally injured. The victims were all pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the crash is being investigated by the New Mexico State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
