Moriarty, NM - One Killed After Semi Crashes into Building off I-40

Moriarty, NM (November 10, 2023) - One person was killed and two were injured after a semi-truck crashed into a building in Moriarty on Thursday, November 9. 

The accident took place off Interstate 40 at the 100 block of N. Corvin Court at around 9:31 p.m. The driver of a semi-trailer was traveling on the highway when they veered off and crashed into a metal building. Two men were inside the building, and one was found dead as a result of the crash. 

The driver and the other man in the building were transported to a hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No updates on their conditions are currently available. 

The men inside the building were identified as employees of Ribs Hickory Pit BBW. No additional information on their identities has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
