Rio Rancho, NM - Major Auto Crash on Hwy 528 near Ridgecrest Rd

Rio Rancho, NM (April 9, 2023) - A serious car wreck was reported to police in Rio Rancho on the afternoon of April 6. Shortly before 2:00 p.m, responders were dispatched to the scene of an accident on Highway 528. 

According to information from officials, the collision happened on Highway 528 between High Resort Boulevard and Ridgecrest Drive. At least one person sustained injuries in the wreck. 

EMS helped the injured parties and took those in need of further medical care to area hospitals. The road was closed for some time while crews worked to control the scene. 

Police in Rio Rancho are working to investigate the collision.
