Deadly Hit-&-Run Accidents in New Mexico
It is a fact that a lot of people are unaware of how common hit-and-run collisions are in the US. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety reports that in recent years, hit-and-run crashes have made up roughly 11.7 percent of all traffic crashes, resulting in 2,049 fatalities and 138,500 injuries. These collisions involve drivers who flee the scene of the accident, meaning that injured parties may not be able to get the much-needed treatment they need to recover. Injured parties should seek legal counsel in order to maximize their recovery because hit-and-run crashes can result in severe injuries as well as significant emotional and financial distress.
