South Valley, NM – Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash at Fairhaven Ave & Sunset Rd

South Valley, NM (July 28, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a two-vehicle collision in the South Valley area on Saturday, July 27. The crash took place at the corner of Fairhaven Avenue and Sunset Road late that night, around 7 p.m. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after being notified of an SUV colliding with a motorcycle. 

When officials arrived, they found the rider injured with a compound leg fracture. They were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The SUV sustained significant front-end damage, and the motorcycle was lying on the roadway. Both parties remained at the scene, and the driver of the SUV cooperated with responding officials. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
