A dramatic rollover accident can leave the victim with catastrophic injuries such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord damage, fractured bones, or even death. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that rollovers occur in around 2% of all motor vehicle accidents. According to statistics from 2014, 66% of all rollover fatalities were attributable to passengers who were not buckled in at the time of the collision. A little over 45% of Americans think an SUV is safer than a regular passenger car on a trip, but these vehicles can actually increase the risk of being involved in a rollover.
Many vehicle accident victims rely on insurance adjusters to handle their claims, but their major goal is to give plaintiffs the smallest possible settlement. If you solely rely on the adjusters during the settlement process, they will use every tactic in the book to reject your claim and prevent you from collecting the entire amount of compensation. The people who are involved in car accidents in New Mexico without an attorney or who are unaware of how much compensation they require will be the target market for these insurance firms.
Many accident victims are prone to accepting the lowball offers made by pushy insurance adjusters after filing for compensation. Never make the attempt to manage your claim on your own. Insurance adjusters are known to resolve claims for less than their full value. The insurance adjuster handles vehicle accident situations every single day, but you might not have past experience with them. To avoid being improperly utilized, never give an insurance adjuster your personal contact information.
