Texico, NM - Runner Fatally Hit by Car on Co Road 10

Texico, NM (March 1, 2024) - A deadly crash involving a pedestrian was reported in the Texico area on Wednesday night, February 28. The fatal accident was reported on County Road 10 in Curry County late that night. Initial reports indicated that 23-year-old Brandon Galvan was running along the roadway when he was hit by an oncoming 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe. 

The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and immediately contacted emergency personnel for further assistance. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render the necessary medical aid. Despite life-saving measures, Galvan sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The area was temporarily closed to outside traffic as paramedics and authorities were present. No additional information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly pedestrian accident is being managed by local authorities, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
