Albuquerque, NM – Bicyclist Critically Hurt in Hit-&-Run at Zuni Rd & Louisiana Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (October 17, 2023) – A cyclist is in critical condition after an auto accident that took place in Albuquerque on Sunday, October 16. 

The crash occurred at the corner of Zuni Road SE and Louisiana Boulevard SE. The victim was traveling by bicycle headed south when a gray Ford pickup truck headed east hit him. The driver of the pickup proceeded to flee the scene. 

The injured rider was transported to the University of New Mexico (UNM) Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The suspect vehicle was described as a gray or charcoal Ford F-250 pickup truck with no tailgate. The vehicle likely sustained significant front-end damage in the impact. 

No updates on the accident have been provided at this time. 

Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
