We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
Hit-and-run crashes are happening at alarmingly high rates in the United States, and they have peaked in recent years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that 38,825 people died as a result of hit-and-run accidents across the country in 2020, the highest number to be released since 2007. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety discovered that about 682,000 hit-and-run injuries were reported annually on average during the previous ten years. It is illegal for someone to leave the site of an accident, and if they cause serious injuries or even the death of another person, they should be held accountable.
