The speed involved in a crash can have a serious impact on a car accident. Speeding drivers are responsible for a high number of serious collisions in the United States. Nationwide, roughly 29 percent of all fatal car accidents are caused by speeding drivers. A total of 11,258 people died in crashes brought on by speeding drivers last year. Similar to drunk driving, speeding is a problem in some states more than it is in others. Unfortunately in New Mexico, drivers struggle with both.
There are many factors that can contribute to a serious car accident, and crashes are often caused by the actions of reckless drivers.
