New Mexico Car Crashes
New Mexico drivers are some of the worst in the country, and unfortunately, Albuquerque motorists are among some of the worst in the state. Statistics show that Bernalillo, Dona Ana, and Santa Fe Counties have the highest rates of car accidents. There are more than 40,000 car crashes reported every year in New Mexico, and someone is injured in a crash somewhere in the state every 26 minutes on average. Around one percent of auto accidents in New Mexico end in fatal injuries.
Nobody ever expects to be hurt by a careless driver, but being in a catastrophic auto accident can be incredibly stressful. You may have to cope with unanticipated injuries and additional costs after a serious crash. Sadly, the accident is just the beginning of a drawn-out healing process. After a major auto accident, you must file a personal injury claim with the assistance of an experienced lawyer to receive the full and just compensation you are entitled to. Your lawyer will be able to help you throughout every step of your case, helping to investigate your accident and determine which damages may be available in your unique situation.
A successful resolution to your claim is more difficult than it first appears. To obtain the restitution you are entitled to, you must be prepared to overcome the various potential obstacles that may arise throughout your case. It needs to be proven that the person responsible for your injuries was negligent in some manner and that their conduct caused your injuries. This entails gathering pertinent evidence from your collision that can demonstrate the negligent motorist was the reason behind your injuries and additional losses.
Although managing a personal injury claim alone can be challenging, you do not have to go through the healing process by yourself.
