Albuquerque, NM – Car Wreck with Injuries at I-25 & Ave Cesar Chavez

Albuquerque, NM (October 19, 2024) – On Saturday, October 19, there were reported injuries following a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The crash occurred that morning around 3:12 a.m. on Interstate 25 SB near Avenida Cesar Chavez. At least one person involved suffered injuries in the collision. 

The injured parties were treated by attending medical personnel, and those requiring additional treatment were later hospitalized for treatment. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were needed to clear the scene of the resulting wreckage and other debris in order to reopen the road to outside traffic. No additional information on the accident is currently available. Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident into the cause of the crash, and more updates will be released as the investigation continues.
