Albuquerque, NM – Fatal Crash near Gibson Blvd & Girard Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (December 24, 2023) – One person died as a result of a fatal collision that occurred in the Albuquerque area on Friday afternoon. Calls for help came in on December 22 regarding an automobile accident that took place on Gibson Boulevard.

According to reports provided by the Albuquerque Police Department, a gold Pontiac and a white pickup truck collided on Gibson Boulevard near Girard Boulevard. One of the involved vehicles went off the roadway and struck a tree. Just before noon, authorities arrived at the scene to provide assistance. A passenger inside the Pontiac was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, the number of injured victims is not known. The crash is being investigated by law enforcement.
