Albuquerque, NM — Injuries Follow Accident on Bridge Blvd SW near Rio Grande River
Albuquerque, NM (October 22, 2023) – On October 20, the Albuquerque Fire Rescue and police were summoned to the scene of an automobile accident that ended in injuries.
Calls for assistance came to 911 Dispatchers at around 7:20 p.m.
According to reports, a crash between vehicles occurred on Bridge Boulevard Southwest. The incident blocked multiple lanes of the bridge over the Rio Grande River.
The incident prompted officials to shut down a portion of the roadway for an extended period of time as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and reopen the roadway.
Paramedics were called to care for victims and transported them to local hospitals.
The Albuquerque Police Department has launched an investigation to determine what caused the crash to occur. This investigation is currently ongoing.
