Albuquerque, NM - Injuries in Wreck at San Mateo Blvd & Highland Ave

Albuquerque, NM (July 6, 2024) - On Saturday, July 6, at least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident at the crossing of San Mateo Boulevard SE and Highland Avenue SE. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene that afternoon around 1:05 p.m. The injured parties were treated by attending paramedics before being transferred to local hospitals for further aid. 

The roadway was closed while emergency crews were present, and tow trucks were later needed to remove the resulting debris and reopen the area to outside traffic. The circumstances leading to the collision have not been determined so far, nor have the severity and number of the related injuries.
