Albuquerque, NM – Injury Semi-Truck Crash Closes I-40

Albuquerque, NM (June 19, 2025) – On Wednesday, June 18, there were reported injuries following a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The crash was reported that morning at around 11:19 a.m. on Interstate 40 near Atrisco Vista Boulevard. All westbound lanes were closed as a result of the crash. A semi-truck was reportedly involved in the collision. 

At least one person involved in the crash was hurt. At this time, the severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. No updates on the conditions of the crash victims have been provided. Local authorities advised local motorists to avoid the scene and to prepare for significant delays while emergency crews were present. No additional information is currently available.
