High-Speed Crashes in New Mexico
A total of 11,258 of the 38,824 fatal car accidents in the United States in 2020 were caused by speeding drivers. This statistic should terrify everybody who uses the road. Going over the posted speed limit makes it harder to stop quickly, and speeding also decreases the effectiveness of several safety features on your car. It should come as no surprise that speeding drivers are responsible for 29 percent of all fatal collisions and are known to increase the force of impact. This is equivalent to about 30 fatalities daily and almost one fatality per hour.
