Albuquerque, NM – Man Dies in Hit-&-Run at Carlisle Blvd & I-40
Albuquerque, NM (July 15, 2025) – On Sunday, July 13, a man was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the Albuquerque area. The deadly crash took place in the northeast part of the city on the Carlisle Boulevard bridge over Interstate 40 late that night at around 9:48 p.m. Emergency units were dispatched to the scene after being notified of an auto-pedestrian accident.
When officials arrived, they found a man lying on the road in critical condition. It is believed that the victim was struck by a motorist who proceeded to flee the scene without rendering aid. The injured party was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead. It was later revealed that a tan Chevrolet van was headed southbound when it hit the man who had entered the roadway. Excessive speed was cited as a factor in the crash.
