Albuquerque, NM – Motorcyclist Killed in Semi Crash at 98th St & Avalon Rd

Albuquerque, NM (May 28, 2025) – On Tuesday, May 27, a motorcyclist was killed after a crash involving a commercial truck in the Albuquerque area. The deadly accident took place at the corner of Avalon Road NW and 98th Street NW early that morning at around 7 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of the collision.

Local reports revealed that a white Harley-Davidson was traveling southbound on 98th Street. It was then that a semi-truck attempted to turn from eastbound Avalon Road to northbound 98th Street. The motorcycle hit the side of the semi’s trailer. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The area was temporarily closed to outside traffic while local authorities were present. No further information on the deadly collision is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
