Albuquerque, NM – Passenger Hurt in Rear-End Crash at I-25 & Osuna Rd
Albuquerque, NM (November 2, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, November 1, there were reported injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the Albuquerque area.
The collision was reported on Interstate 25 SB near Osuna Road at around 2 a.m. Local reports indicated that a tan 2007 Lexus sport-utility vehicle was headed southbound at a high rate of speed when the driver rear-ended a black 2001 Cadillac. The impact caused serious injuries to a passenger in the backseat of the second vehicle.
The injured party was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Lexus fled the scene on foot, but he was later apprehended by authorities. It is believed that the at-fault driver was under the influence.
The party was arrested and is currently facing charges related to the crash.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
