Albuquerque, NM - Pedestrian Dies in Crash at Unser Blvd & Los Volcanes Rd

Albuquerque, NM (March 17, 2025) - On Sunday, March 16, a pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The incident took place at the corner of Unser Boulevard NW and Los Volcanes Road NW late that night at around 9:10 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene of a pedestrian-vehicle accident. 

The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. The circumstances leading to the incident have not yet been confirmed. The injured party was provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. Despite life-saving support, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
