Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Fatally Hit at Central Ave & Louisiana Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (April 11, 2024) – On Wednesday, April 10, a pedestrian was killed following a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area. The deadly crash was reported at the intersection of Central Avenue SE and Louisiana Boulevard SE that afternoon around 3:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that a man was traveling on foot when he was hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

It was later revealed that the victim fell off the curb when he was struck by a white Buick sport utility vehicle heading northbound on Louisiana. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched after being notified of a serious pedestrian-vehicle accident. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed as emergency crews were present. The identity of the deceased party has not been released at this time. No additional information on the fatal crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
