Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident on Pennsylvania St

Albuquerque, NM (August 8, 2023) – On Monday night, August 7, a pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle in Albuquerque. 

The fatal crash was reported on Pennsylvania Street near Mountain Road, south of Interstate 40. Police and emergency responders were called to the scene late that evening at around 11:20 p.m. A woman was reportedly walking along the roadway when she was hit by a northbound silver Volkswagen sedan. 

The driver reportedly fled the scene without rendering aid. The injured party sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, no additional information has been provided. 

Authorities are currently seeking information on the at-fault driver and suspect vehicle.
