Albuquerque, NM – Serious Injuries in Wreck at Aspen Ave & 5th St

Albuquerque, NM (July 5, 2024) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car crash in the Albuquerque area on Friday, July 5. The accident took place at the intersection of Aspen Avenue NW and 5th Street NW early that morning around 6:48 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to render aid to the involved parties, and those requiring additional support were later hospitalized. 

At this time, the severity and number of the resulting injuries have not been determined. The circumstances leading to the crash were not included in the initial reports. The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. Tow trucks were needed to clear the site of the resulting debris and reopen the area to outside traffic.
