Albuquerque, NM – Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Candelaria Rd & 2nd St NW
Albuquerque, NM (November 3, 2025) – Two people lost their lives on Sunday, November 2, following a violent two-vehicle crash in Albuquerque’s North Valley. The Albuquerque Police Department reported that the deadly collision occurred around 7:48 p.m. at the intersection of Candelaria Road and 2nd Street NW.
According to investigators, a blue Toyota Tacoma was traveling west on Candelaria Road in the right lane when it entered the intersection at 2nd Street. At that moment, a blue 1967 Triumph convertible traveling north on 2nd Street slammed into the side of the Tacoma. The crash’s impact spun the Toyota and sent it crashing into two vehicles stopped at a red light in the left-hand turn lane of southbound 2nd Street.
Police confirmed that the driver and passenger of the Triumph died at the scene. Paramedics transported the two people inside the Toyota Tacoma to a local hospital, where they remain in stable condition. Officers confirmed that those in the stopped vehicles did not suffer any major injuries.
Traffic in the area was closed for several hours while the Albuquerque police investigation took place. The Albuquerque Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit continues to gather evidence to determine what caused the deadly crash.
Our deepest condolences go out to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic collision.
