Albuquerque, NM - Woman Charged in Deadly Bicycle Crash at Gibson & Yale Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (June 6, 2023) - A woman has been charged in relation to a fatal bicycle accident that took place in Albuquerque on Monday morning, June 5. 

The deadly accident was reported at around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Gibson and Yale Boulevards. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an accident and found a male cyclist lying on the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

It was later revealed that a pickup truck hit the victim, and the driver fled the scene. The driver was later identified as 23-year-old Leann Grace Blackhorse. It is believed that driver inattention and intoxication were factors in the deadly crash.
