Carnuel, NM - Fatal Car Accident on I-40 near NM-233

Carnuel, NM (August 16, 2023) - There was a deadly car accident reported outside of Carnuel on Tuesday night, August 15. 

The incident took place late that night at around 8 p.m. on Interstate 40 near NM-233. One person was reportedly killed in the collision. Emergency responders were dispatched to render aid to the involved parties, and the area was temporarily closed for several hours. 

At this time, the circumstances leading to the incident have not been determined. It is unknown if anyone else was involved in the crash or suffered injuries.

No further updates on the accident have been provided at this time.
