Clovis, NM – Pedestrian Dies in Hit-&-Run at West St & 7th St

Clovis, NM (May 8, 2024) – There were fatal injuries reported after a hit-and-run accident in the Clovis area on Monday, May 6. The deadly crash was reported at the corner of West Street and W. 7th Street late that evening around 11 p.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene after being notified of the victim lying on the roadway. 

A man was found with severe injuries at the scene. It is believed that the injured party was hit by a motor vehicle, and the driver fled the scene without providing aid. The car was last seen headed northbound on Hull Street from 7th, according to reports from local authorities. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victim was identified as 73-year-old Vincent Galvan. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
