Las Cruces, NM - One Killed, Several Hurt in Pileup Crash on I-10

Las Cruces, NM (April 18, 2025) - On Thursday, April 17, there were fatal injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in the Las Cruces area. The incident took place on Interstate 10 near mile marker 93 that afternoon at around 1 p.m. Local reports revealed that three vehicles collided at the scene. 

The circumstances leading to the collision have not yet been determined. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Local reports indicated that one of the drivers, 42-year-old Cesar Jimenez, suffered fatal injuries in the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
