Las Cruces, NM – Update: April Hernandez Killed in Pedestrian Crash at California Ave & Solano Dr
Las Cruces, NM (January 3, 2024) – Local authorities have identified the woman who was killed after a pedestrian accident in the Las Cruces area on Friday, January 29. The deadly accident took place at the corner of California Avenue and Solano Drive as 38-year-old April Hernandez was traveling on foot. She was entering traffic when she was hit by an oncoming 2018 Dodge Durango.
Emergency responders were dispatched to render life-saving aid to the injured party, but Hernandez was later pronounced dead at the scene. There was no crosswalk in the area, and it was reportedly dark at the time of the fatal accident. No additional information on the deadly accident is currently available.
