Loving, NM - One Hospitalized in Pileup Crash on NM-31

Loving, NM (March 7, 2024) - On Wednesday, March 6, one person was injured following a multi-vehicle accident in the Loving area. The accident occurred on NM-31 near Potash Mine Road in southern Eddy County early that morning at around 7 a.m. Three or more vehicles reportedly collided at the scene. 

Emergency crews were present to render aid to the involved parties. The area was temporarily closed while authorities were on site to render the necessary medical aid. One man involved in the crash was transported to Carlsbad Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. 

The area was closed for several hours until emergency responders could clear the site of the resulting debris. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
