Santa Fe, NM - Pedestrian Hurt in Accident at Siler & Cerrillos Rd

Santa Fe, NM (May 28, 2024) - On Sunday, May 26, a pedestrian was injured after a traffic accident in the Santa Fe area. The crash occurred at the corner of Siler Road and Cerrillos Road late that night. Local reports revealed that two vehicles were racing headed southbound on Cerrillos Road when one struck a man attempting to cross the road on foot. 

Both motorists fled the scene without rendering aid. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The injured pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. The identity of the victim has been withheld at this time. Local law enforcement officials are handling an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
