Santa Rosa, NM - Emergency Dispatch Issued to Crash Scene on I-40 near milepost 277

Santa Rosa, NM (May 27, 2023) - An auto collision happened in Santa Rosa on the morning of May 27. At approximately 3:43 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident on Interstate 40. 

Crews were seen helping injured victims at the crash site a short time later, near milepost 277, about a mile east of Santa Rosa. The circumstances of the wreck are still unclear at this time. 

One or more people sustained injuries and received treatment at the collision site before being taken to local medical centers for further evaluation and care. Traffic was delayed in the area for an extended period of time due to the presence of emergency personnel on the road.
