Truth or Consequences, NM - Injury Crash Closes Lanes on I-25

Truth or Consequences, NM (May 8, 2025) - On Wednesday, May 7, there were confirmed injuries in an auto accident that took place in Truth or Consequences. Emergency crews were notified of the incident early that morning at around 7:20 a.m. The collision took place on Interstate 25 near mile marker 69 and resulted in serious injuries.

Two semi-trucks reportedly collided at the scene. All southbound lanes were closed as a result of the crash.  The crash victims were provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. Those requiring further support were later transferred to nearby hospitals for further treatment. The severity and number of the related injuries have not yet been determined. The area was temporarily closed to outside traffic until tow trucks were able to remove the wreckage and other resulting debris. No further information on the crash has been provided at this time. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing crash investigation.
