Albuquerque, NM - Fatal Red Light Crash at Coors Blvd & Sevilla Ave

Albuquerque, NM - On Saturday, March 9, a fatal crash was reported in the Albuquerque area after a driver ran a red light. The deadly accident occurred at the corner of Coors Boulevard NW and Sevilla Avenue SW. Local reports revealed that a Ford Mustang was traveling north when the driver flashed the lights and honked as it approached a nearby vehicle. 

The other driver believed that the motorist wanted to race, but they did not engage. The driver of the Ford drove off and swerved between several vehicles when it entered the intersection with a red light. A black Ford Edge had a green light when it attempted to make a left turn. The Mustang hit the Edge, causing both vehicles to spin. The driver of the Edge suffered fatal injuries in the impact. The driver of the Mustang, later identified as 20-year-old Isaiah Sena, was hospitalized and is currently facing charges of reckless driving and vehicular homicide. No further updates are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is underway.
