Albuquerque, NM – Injuries in Collision at Ortiz Dr & Southern Ave

Albuquerque, NM (August 22, 2024) – On Wednesday, August 21, there were confirmed injuries following a car accident in the Albuquerque area. The collision took place at around 11:10 p.m. at the corner of Ortiz Drive SE and Southern Avenue SE. At least one person involved in the crash was hurt. Emergency responders were dispatched to render aid to the involved parties. 

The severity and the number of the resulting injuries have not been provided at this time. Ambulances were used to transport the injured parties to local hospitals for additional treatment. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present to render aid to the involved parties. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris in order to reopen the road to outside traffic. No updates on the accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
