Albuquerque, NM – Major Injury Wreck at Central Ave & 1st St

Albuquerque, NM (August 30, 2024) – At least one person was hurt in the aftermath of a vehicle collision that took place in Albuquerque on Friday, August 30. Emergency crews were sent to the scene of the crash at the corner of Central Avenue NW and 1st Street NW that morning around 6:13 a.m. The injured parties were provided aid by attending paramedics before being transferred to local hospitals by ambulance. 

At this time, the extent of the resulting injuries has not been determined, and the number of people involved in the crash is still unknown. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were needed to clear the site of the resulting debris and reopen the roadway. No additional information on the accident is currently available. Nevertheless, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials. More updates will be released as it continues.
