Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Dies in Crash at Tramway Blvd & Cloudview Ave
Albuquerque, NM (July 12, 2025) – On Wednesday, July 9, there were fatal injuries reported after an auto-pedestrian accident in the Albuquerque area. The deadly crash took place at the corner of Tramway Boulevard NE and Cloudview Avenue NE late that evening. It was reported that two women were walking along the southbound shoulder of Tramway Boulevard NE when a southbound Buick sport utility vehicle hit one of the pedestrians.
The driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured party. Emergency crews were quickly called to the scene. Despite life-saving support from attending medical personnel, the woman sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The driver was later located and identified as a 38-year-old male. He told authorities he had been drinking before the accident. He is currently facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. No further information on the fatal incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
