Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Dies in Crash at Unser & Gibson Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (July 8, 2025) – On Monday, July 7, a pedestrian was killed after an auto accident in southwest Albuquerque. The fatal crash took place at the corner of Unser Boulevard and Gibson Boulevard, near Spring Flower Road, early that morning at around 6 a.m. The victim was reportedly on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

It was reported that a black GM sport utility vehicle had broken down along South Unser Boulevard, and the driver’s father arrived at the scene to assist. The father was wearing reflective gear with flashing lights engaged in the SUV when they were hit by a white Chrysler minivan. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, the man sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has been withheld. No further information on the fatal accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
