Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Fatally Struck at Central Ave & Espanola St

Albuquerque, NM (July 4, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident in the Albuquerque area on Wednesday, July 3. The deadly crash was reported at the corner of Central Avenue and Espanola Street late that night, around 7 p.m. The victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene after being notified of a serious pedestrian-vehicle accident. Despite life-saving treatment from responding medical officials, the injured party sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. The circumstances leading to the crash have not been determined. No further information on the collision is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
