Albuquerque, NM – Pedestrian Killed in Accident at Montgomery & San Mateo Blvd
Albuquerque, NM (September 8, 2025) – Police are investigating the tragic death of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Saturday, September 6, in Albuquerque. The accident occurred at the intersection of Montgomery and San Mateo boulevards northeast.
According to a news release from the Albuquerque Police Department (APD), the driver of a white Toyota Tundra was in the right turn lane of northbound San Mateo when they attempted a right-hand turn onto Montgomery. Unfortunately, they hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the crosswalk at the time of the collision.
APD’s Fatal Crash Unit is investigating the incident, and authorities have closed the eastbound lanes of Montgomery Boulevard during the investigation. They have not yet released the identity of the pedestrian.
