Albuquerque, NM — San Mateo Ave Crash Reported near Lomas Blvd NW Ends in Injuries

Albuquerque, NM (April 16, 2023) – On April 14, a motor vehicle accident was reported in the Albuquerque area that resulted in injuries.

At approximately 4:40 a.m., authorities were notified that an automobile accident occurred on San Mateo Avenue.

According to reports provided by the police department, vehicles collided on the southbound side of the road. The incident blocked multiple lanes in the area near Lomas Boulevard Northwest.

Emergency officials shut down a portion of the roadway as they worked to clear the scene. Injuries were confirmed as a result of this crash. Paramedics were called to care for the victims at the scene. At least one person was transported to an area hospital for further care.

The incident remains under investigation.
